On the 1000th day anniversary of being officially together, Ryan decided to recreate him and Maiya’s first date. Their first date was simple and cheesy, consisting of them going to McDonald’s to get McFlurrys and going on a walk through the Bluffs in Bakersfield. After going to dinner, and then getting McFlurrys at McDonald’s, Ryan sat Maiya down at the exact bench they sat at over 1000 days ago. They talked for a while, making jokes and reminiscing on everything they had been through together. Ryan stood up and said “I don’t have anything overly cheesy to say but I want you to know how much I love you and how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” He then got down on one knee and asked Maiya to marry him. Maiya pushed him out of excitement and bawled her eyes out. Of course the answer was yes. And the rest is history! We are very excited to spend our special day with the most special people!!
