IT'S ALMOST HERE!

Shayne and Maite have been in each others lives in some way since 2005. Maite (literally) bumped into Shayne as she was leaving her drama classroom and was immediately jealous of how nice his hair and eyelashes were (this, dear readers, has not changed). Through the next year they would date (and part ways), be in plays together, compete in Improv Competitions, and spend a lot of time in similar circles. After early 2006 they didn't speak again until winter of 2010, after Shayne started his first year of college. He reached out to reconnect during a tough time. What followed was friendship and companionship, both of which they needed badly on the heels of winter. It wasn't until the summer of 2011 that they both realized that they were in a relationship, and had been since at LEAST April of that year. Next came festivals, concerts, nights out, movie nights in, family holidays and trips. They spent as much time as possible together while Shayne was still in LA and Maite was in Chino Hills. They moved to Whittier together in September of 2016 and have been there since! They have a gorgeous Tabby Cat named Turkey who has enriched their lives beyond measure. Their families are blended and wonderful (and warming up to a cat in the family). There are still trips and concerts and nights in, and they're just as magical as the first ones, simply because they're doing it together.
