I was getting home from bowling and drove passed our mutual friend (who had been trying to convince me to meet him). He texts me shortly after saying he was passing by so Javy and I could meet. A couple of days later Javy got my number and after several attempts we finally went on our first date. We became official on February 6, 2009.

It was the big 10th anniversary. Throughout our 10 years of dating, Javy has surprised me with thoughtful gifts and dates. One of my favorite dates was when he surprised me with a beach picnic, at night. He had everything ready by the time he picked me up, McDonald's chicken nuggets included. Fast forward 10 years, he told me we were going to dinner for our anniversary. The drive looked familiar and we ended up at the same beach. He recreated that memorable date and to my surprise the ring box was in the box of chicken nuggets at the bottom of the McDonald's bag.
