FAQs

Question

How far is the resort from the airport?

Answer

The InterContinental Tahiti is about a 5 minute drive from the airport. You can call a taxi which will be about $15-$20.

Question

Should I stay at the resort?

Answer

Yes! We recommend everyone stay at the resort as all wedding festivities will be hosted at the resort. Please see the "Travel" page for more information on the hotel and room block.

Question

Do I need to book my room through the room block?

Answer

We have secured a room block at the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa for our wedding guests. While you're welcome to book through our room block, please feel free to reserve your accommodations directly through the resort's website or any travel booking platform you prefer. This can be a great option for guests looking to use credit card rewards points, loyalty programs, or other travel benefits.

Question

How long should I stay?

Answer

We really hope everyone can make a trip out of our wedding. Plan for 3 days of wedding festivities so feel free to stay before or after the wedding as you are able. French Polynesia is a beautiful part of the world where you can island hop to Mo'orea or even Bora Bora. New Zealand is about a 6 hour flight away as well.

Question

Tahiti is far! What if I can't make it?

Answer

We are completely aware of how big of an ask it is for you to join us on our destination wedding. If you can't make it, that's okay, we understand! We will celebrate with you when we can over the next couple years. Or come visit us in Seattle, we would love to host you!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children or a guest?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we can’t accommodate for all of our guests to bring a guest, or guests, of their own to the wedding festivities. Therefore, we ask that you only bring the people specifically indicated on your invitation to the wedding festivities.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Join us in celebrating in paradise! We encourage guests to embrace the tropical setting with vibrant colors, floral prints, linen, silk, and other lightweight fabrics. Think cocktail attire with an island twist, elegant, polished, and comfortable for a beautiful evening in Tahiti.
