Our Story

The Wedding Website of Sophia Olivia Andrews and Stanford Maison Jr.

Sophia and Stan first met during the summer of 2021, between their sophomore and junior year of college. As Sophia prepared for a gap semester in Kenya, the two — friends at the time — considered the idea of going on a date. After some thought (and a little encouragement from Stanford), Sophia agreed, and they went on their first date: dinner in downtown D.C. followed by two rounds of bowling, where Sophia insists she let Stanford win — or so she says. Just a week later, they went on their second date, only 36 hours before Sophia’s flight to Kenya. During her time abroad, they stayed connected through WhatsApp and video calls across time zones until she returned home in November. On Nov 18th, just two weeks after her return, Stanford asked Sophia to officially be his girlfriend. Nearly four years later, their journey has been filled with adventure, laughter, and deep love. They look forward with joy to all still ahead, continuing to build a relationship rooted firmly in Christ.
