Frequently Asked Questions
Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If your significant other who was invited cannot attend, please do not extend his/her spot to anyone else.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire for our event is "Semi-Formal".

Question

I only want to stay one night in your hotel block, is that ok?

Answer

Yes! For those who only want a room for one night, please still use the room block link and/or code 'CMW'. Following the link click 'Book a room' and then on the next page on the right side of the page click 'Edit Stay' to update the date to July 10th-11th. NOTE - Please note that Check-in is 4:00PM (and the wedding is at 5:00PM). You can call ahead to try to get early check-in, but this is not guaranteed. Please plan accordingly in order to arrive on time to the ceremony. https://doubletree.hilton.com/en/dt/groups/personalized/P/PBIMPDT-CMW-20210709/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG

Question

Frenchman's Reserve is a gated community, how do I get in?

Answer

The gate will have a guest list, you will be prompted to provide your ID at the gate, so please have that ready when you enter the community. Only names on the guest list will be permitted access into the community.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately No. There is complimentary valet parking at the venue for those how want to drive. Uber / Lyft or other ride share programs are our suggestion as there will be alcohol served, for those who want it, at the reception. All wedding events are located at Frenchman's Reserve, so there is no need for additional transportation.

Question

Due to COVID-19, is there anything I need to know as a guest?

Answer

No. There are no requirements at our wedding due to COVID-19. You of course may wear a mask if you are more comfortable, but they are not required.

Question

Are children allowed at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only event. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

You're getting married in Florida in July??

Answer

Do not worry - ALL events are fully indoors. Even the walk from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception stays in one area indoors! For those who do want to venture outside for a look or a photo there are outdoor areas accessible during the cocktail hour and reception, but you are not ever required to leave the AC!

Question

Aren't you already married?

Answer

Even though we legally got married on our original wedding date, the event we are holding on July 10th will look like a full wedding! We still want those typical wedding moments, so we will be sharing these moments publicly in front of you all in a quick 'vow renewal', which will look exactly like a standard wedding ceremony! This will be followed by a cocktail hour, and a formal reception. We moved what would have occurred on January 23rd to July 10th. So it will look as if we are getting married for the first time, we just wont have to sign any legal marriage documents this time :)

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! See the "Hotel Block and travel" Page or use the link here: https://doubletree.hilton.com/en/dt/groups/personalized/P/PBIMPDT-CMW-20210709/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG
