Ali & Kenny met in the 7th grade at Park Middle School in early 2011, and began “dating” on August 25th, 2011. Many people assumed it was just puppy love considering they were both only 13 years old. Although, Kenny often insisted they would get married one day. During the last decade, they enjoyed life’s greatest adventures together. They would often go on family vacations, road trips, went to numerous concerts, and even shared their sweet little puppy, Rosie, for her short but wonderful life. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but they have stood by one another during the hardest parts of their lives as they said goodbye to loved ones and suffered hardships. They have become very close to each other’s families and consider them their own. After graduating high school, they spent their next four years in an apartment at Concord University. During that time they made lifelong friendships, countless memories, and started a few traditions. They learned each others habits and Kenny received some husband training in the process. Both agree it was the best four years of their lives so far. Kenny finally popped the question on October 13th, 2020, after a few tears Ali managed to say yes. It wasn’t easy keeping it a secret because they rarely spend anytime apart. Kenny planned the proposal with some help from his mom, sister, and sister-in-law. He also asked Ali’s dad for his permission beforehand, it was an obvious yes with her dad often joking there isn’t another man in the world that could put up with his daughter. Neither of them could imagine life without the other and they fall more in love each day. They are both so excited to take this next step of becoming husband and wife. They will finally tie the knot on August 28th, 2021, just three days after their 10 year anniversary.
