While sitting at a teacher institute the day before, Brent's sister-in-law Lesley suggested a blind date to a fellow colleague. Pictures were passed around to a bunch of giggling school teachers and a date was set. Instead of going out with friends for Black Wednesday, Brent and Sarah decided to meet at Revolution Brewery. After a few drinks and 4 short hours later they each hoped for a second date.
After two and a half years of dating and one year of living together the time had come for Brent to pop the question. A few weeks after getting the ring, while Sarah was downtown with friends getting ready for the Rock n Roll half Marathon, Brent took Sarah's dad out to dinner to ask permission to marry his daughter (he of course said yes). One week later, Sarah went to a BBQ with coworkers. She thought Brent was going out with some friends, but instead his brother and his wife stopped by and suggested proposing that night. So without having a true plan, Brent went to the store for flowers and dinner. Sarah was in no hurry to get home to an empty house, little did she know there was a romantic dinner with wine, flowers and a ring waiting for her. When she finally got home, she walked into the house with flower petals leading up to the back porch. There the man of her dreams was waiting to make her the happiest girl for the rest of their lives. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Michigan!
