The tallest mountain in the park. You can hike up the Cadillac summit or drive 3.5 miles to the top. Go early to beat the crowds and tour buses. Also, try to catch a sunrise here!

Ride the 27 mile Park Loop Road is the best way to see the park. Popular sights and trails like Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliff can all be reached from here. Just start your trek at the Hulls Cove Visitors Center, then snake your way around the east side of Mount Desert Island.

The Jordan Pond Loop is an easy 3.5-mile hike that follows the path around the shores of Jordan Pond. Time required: 1-3 hours. It's mostly level. There's also a restaurant located near the pond: Jordan Pond Restaurant. They're famous for their Popovers! Give it a try!

It's a very beautiful beach for picture opportunities. The water is really cold even on a hot summer day. But a walk along the beach is nice. The views of the shore, ocean, and cliffs are beautiful. If you do not like crowds, we would suggest you go earlier in the morning when it is less visited.

Hike: 1.4 mile heavily trafficked loop trail. A steep climb to the top of this small mountain with wonderful views. Rated: Difficult Exposed cliffs & is very steep!

45 miles of scenic, car-free, broken-stone roads that go through Acadia. You can use the road by foot, bicycle, horseback, or in a carriage. They’re wide, nicely graveled, and are yours to explore. Plus no cars are allowed on them. So biking them will let you see all of the major sites faster. There are dozens of different routes you could take, but there are two popular ones to tackle: Witch Hole Pond Loop & the Eagle Lake + Jordan Pond Loop.

Stonington is the top-producing lobster port in Maine. Lobstermen can be seen hauling their catch all day long, especially during the summer. In July, there are even lobster boat races in the harbor! It’s about an hour drive from Acadia.

Acadia’s most thrilling hike! Rated: Strenuous & challenging. Distance: 2.5 loop. You should wear a good pair of hiking shoes or boots. Great views! There are many rungs and ladders used to climb the mountain.
