FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

The couple would like to first of all, say thank you and having you attend their special day is a gift in itself. The couple is registered with Zola. Roy and Maile have been together for 6 years now and have nearly all they could need to build a home. The couple also recently purchased a home. There are a few items that would make life a little bit easier or a little bit brighter in their new home on their registry as well as some home repair gift cards and a cash fund for their honeymoon. Anything would be appreciated and they cannot wait to see you on their big day.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Sunday best! But remember Texas is HOT and our ceremony will be held outdoors as long as everything goes according to plan. There will be an air conditioned building for the reception and other wedding activities. We want our guests to be comfortable and happy. There will also be LOTS of pictures being taken.

Question

Alcohol?

Answer

The couple wants everyone to have a good time! Therefore alcohol is a bring your own situation so that those that want alcohol have access to it. They do ask that you drink smartly, though. Some coolers and ice will be available for those that don't have their own and would like to keep theirs cold.

Question

Food?

Answer

Tacos!! The couple will have tacos catered to the reception for dinner. They do ask that anyone able or wanting to donate appetizers or sweets for the party, do. There will be close to an hour between the ceremony and reception to get photos of the bridal party taken. The more food the better, anyway!

Question

If COVID-19 is still a major concern what will happen with the wedding?

Answer

Maile and Roy would like their friends and family to feel as safe as possible at their wedding and wouldn't want anyone with serious health concerns to put themselves out in order to make it to the couples big day. That said, if the virus is still a large concern, that is okay. The day will still go on. Guests traveling long distances to make it to the wedding, please, take regular precautions to ensure a fun and safe day for everyone involved. If wearing a mask or face shield will make you more comfortable that is perfectly acceptable! Hand sanitizers will also be available throughout the venue to ensure everyone has the option of hands clean. Please feel free to contact the bride or groom with any other concerns regarding this.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 15th

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

The bride and groom ask that if the date or plus one is not already accounted for in your RSVP, you contact the bride or maid of honor to ask if there is room for one more. The venue is small and Roy and Maile have a lot of friends and family. Thank you so much for understanding and we cannot wait to see you there!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! Roy and Maile already have quite a few kids involved in the wedding. Having them there would be a joy. Be advised that the venue is open county and has a tree house and therefor your children may need an extra eye on them but they are welcome nonetheless.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There is no additional transportation to hotels from the ceremony. As much as the bride and groom want you to have a good time, they ask you drink responsibly, if that is something you choose to do, and ensure you have a DD to any location you will need to get to after the ceremony. There will be limited sleeping areas on the property for those that end up needing a place to stay that night. The wedding party will try their best to help you out as needed.
