How we met

2014

We used to work together at a FedEx warehouse. How romantic right? Any-who, Nate and I worked the night shift. He introduced himself to other people but was too shy to introduce himself to me... It was until one day he got the courage to come help me when I was struggling removing boxes out the trailer truck. I made the first move and asked for his number so we could get together that weekend. The rest is history.

The Proposal

November 15, 2019

We were down in Arizona for a family friends wedding with Nates parents, Deb and Don. We thought, why not make it a long weekend trip? When we arrived on Thursday, we all decided to get Bloody's at Nate and i's favorite little breakfast joint, Breakfast Club. Since we had the whole day, we all thought it'd be fun to go hiking. We asked the waitress for any recommendations. She suggested Camelback or Echo mountain. She told us Camelback was more advanced, so go for Echo. We all decided to hit Camelback mountain instead. Lets just say, this was no ordinary hike. It was a rock climbing hike that felt like it was never going to end. We all made it to the top though! Fast forward, next day, I was tired and sore from camelback. I was in no mood to hike. But Deb and Nate wanted to hike again, so here we go. Round two. This time at Piestewa Peak. We thought it'd be an easier hike. As we soon arrived, it had said "Extremely Difficult". This so happened to be a hot day with the sun blazing. We started the hike, and Kia was far from happy. We reached half way and Nate had asked if we should take a water break. We explored a pathway that overlooked the city. He then said, there's was something he wanted to say a long time. He got on one knee and popped the question. I was so confused and shocked, but I said YES!
