Marady and I (Mai) took a trip together to the west coast in 2017 for our first ever Evolution Championship Series, the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world. Prior to making our way to Vegas we decided to do a pit stop in San Francisco. We had never been to California and wanted to make the most of our time on that side of the States. We had so much fun walking around and exploring, as we did I had made little jokes about ring shopping and even picked his pockets. When questioned, I said I was looking for the ring. Unbeknownst that it was in fact in his pocket. Luckily it was out of the box and I was none the wiser. It's such a part of our joking nature that he was well prepared for my silliness. Eventually we biked halfway through the foggy Golden Gate Bridge where he asked we stop to take a picture. We stood and waited for a stranger to stop by where Marady provided his phone. I stood cheesily smiling and prepared for the picture when he got down on one knee and informed me the phone was video recording. I couldn't believe what was happening, we joke so much I just asked if he was forreal, multiple times... he remain knelt, waiting for an answer and I said YES!
