We are getting married!

3rd June 2022, It was a typical cold and rainy winter day in Melbourne when Will arrived on Pitt Street, looking for a place to stay via Flatmates.com. He had been chatting with Anthony and expected to meet him, but Mai opened the door, she let him in and made him a cup of tea. Will knew he liked her—even if it was just Lipton tea, he thought. That same cold and rainy day, Mai was in the middle of an exhausting exam period. She barely had the energy for anything, but she needed to interview people for the third room in the shared house after a housemate had moved out. The phone rang. She opened the door—and there stood a handsome guy whose red hair looked like sunshine cutting through the darkness and misery of a Melbourne winter. Mai knew she liked him. The two dorks continued to fall for each other quietly. They supported one another through adulthood, sharing sympathy and small comforts while pursuing their master's degrees and working in retail and hospitality. They often exchanged meals and rewatched Star Wars together—more times than either of them would admit. In July 2023, when Mai graduated and landed a job, the shared house celebrated with a bottle of Brendan's champagne at dinner. Later that evening, Mai and Will were watching TV together. As the show ended, Will mustered every ounce of courage he had and gently reached out to hold Mai’s hand for the first time. Mai turned to him and giggled, "Hihihi =)))))..."—happily. 3 weeks later, Will asked if Mai wanted to be his girlfriend, Mai said yes. 8 months later, Will asked if Mai wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, Mai said yes. So they are getting married! And we are inviting our friends and families to this event to celebrate with us.
