-- How it Began -- The story of Jillian and Andrew begins on a seemingly random night in St. Cloud, MN. Jillian had just finished her shift at the hospital and Andrew was in town visiting friends when their paths crossed at a local watering hole. After seeing her for the first time, Andrew picked his jaw off the ground, mustered up some confidence (thanks to a little help from a friend), and began a conversation with Jillian. The two exchanged numbers and immediately planned a first date. -- Their Long-Distance Journey -- In just a short period of time, Jillian and Andrew became an official couple when Andrew stole the first kiss at a Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean concert (there is just something about country music love songs!). Although the new couple could not be happier together, the next few years would be challenging as Jillian moved to Rochester, MN to work at the Mayo Clinic and Andrew left Minnesota to pursue his MBA at the University of Michigan. However, even though they were apart physically, their four-hour-long movie night phone calls, surprise visits, and random gestures of love and support made their hearts grow ever closer. -- The Proposal -- After four years of long-distance dating, the couple was finally going to move to Chicago together. Before they did, Andrew proposed to Jillian at his family’s cabin in Brainerd, MN, a place filled with joyous memories and that had always held a special place in their hearts. He popped the question by sneakily placing the ring on his favorite golf course and asking Jillian to join him for a walk. With the sun setting in the background, Andrew got on his knee and began his speech, but before he could even get halfway through Jillian yelled out a tear-filled “YES”! -- To Be Continued -- We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter with you at our wedding in February!
