Question

What will be served at the picnic? How do I get to governor's island?

Answer

The 1 train to south ferry is the best way to get to the ferry terminal. There is a ferry that leaves every 30 minutes, tickets are available for purchase, but are rarely checked. https://www.govisland.com/plan-your-visit/ferry For beverages, soft drinks may be provided. please bring your own beverages. We recommend using a cooler bag or backpack, as alcoholic beverages are technically not permitted. Our grill site is at the southern most end and is fairly private. There are many food and drink vendors on the island. Citibike is on the island you may get a day pass via the app to explore.
