Well we met like any other millennials would in the 21st century...a dating app! After matching on Bumble, the two of us hit it off and decided to actually meet in person. (Crazy right?) What started as two people hanging out at the bar to get to know each other better, turned into an undeniable spark that neither of us had felt before. For our first official date, Hayden took me to my first ever Aggie Baseball game where I found out just how much he loves sports, especially Aggie sports. In between us yelling at missed calls and Hayden heckling the other team, we talked about ourselves and our interests in life. It didn't feel like we were sitting next to a someone we had only met in person twice, it felt like we were two best friends catching up after not seeing each other in years. We were able to tell each other stupid jokes, geek out about our ag classes and laugh until we cried. If you thought how we originally met was untraditional, then you never heard the story of how Hayden asked me to be his girlfriend... It was an early morning in April of 2018, Friday the 13th to be exact, and we were heading to our morning classes separately in our own cars. I was driving down the road when I was cut off and had to slam on my brakes to avoid rear ending the car in front of me. Little did I know that Hayden was traveling just a tad too close behind me and hit his brakes too late sending the front end of his truck into the lift gate of my poor Chevy Trax. At the same time this happened, a state trooper had pulled up behind us to make sure we were both alright. After making sure we were both ok, he asked to see our registration. At some point in the conversation Hayden had called me "babe" and the state trooper laughed asking, "Well what's the relationship here?". After a few seconds of staring at each other Hayden suddenly blurted out, "We're dating." Why that did not make me rethink our relationship is still a mystery to me, but I guess you could say unconventional is definitely our style... Now as we enter this new season of life together, I know for certain that there is no one else I would rather spend my life with. Thank you for reading a little bit about our story we cannot wait to celebrate being #HappilyEverHarris with you on our special day. Much love from the future Mr. & Mrs. Harris!
