We first meet while interviewing for the same job.

We worked together in the same office and got to know one another pretty well. Katie got into the habit of visiting Dave’s desk every day for a good discussion about community development, revitalization, and design.

Katie left the office (and her office crush) for a new and awesome job. Dave missed her and reached out to see how she was doing. He offered his knowledge of historic architecture and maintenance to help her during her home buying search. They finally started to date!

After years of dating and sharing our lives we are making it official! While roadtripping through Canada in October, Dave proposed on a granite beach on Amherst Island in Lake Ontario.

We’ll have a very small ceremony and celebratory day for our families and closest friends to get to know one another.
