It's a celebration!

Spring of 2020 they matched on Hinge. Josh had sent Mahelet three paragraphs before she even got a chance to respond. Their original date was set for brunch on a Sunday, but Mahelet got off work early that Thursday before and asked Josh if he wanted to grab a late lunch together (Josh tells it as, Mahelet just couldn't wait till Sunday to meet him in person). Lunch turned into hanging out all afternoon with lots of great conversations and playing cornhole. The date went so well, they set up date number two for the very next day. As most Covid relationships, they spent a lot of their time together from that point on and things got serious fast. Early on, both Josh & Mahelet knew their feelings for each other was something neither of them had ever experienced. Josh went to South Carolina to meet Mahelet's family for Christmas, which was the first time she'd ever taken a guy home. Then Mahelet went to Michigan and met Josh's family. The two then got a puppy together, Whiskey :) Fast forward to September 2021 Josh had planned what would be the biggest surprise of Mahelet's life. He got down on one knee, and to her surprise he had her family and friends from all over, fly to DC to celebrate their engagement. The rest is history. Now the two would love to add you to their love story in celebrating what's to be the best day of their lives!
