When should I book my travel?
Answer
If you know you are able to join us for our destination nuptials, we kindly ask that you reserve your room as soon as possible. All that is needed to do so is a $100 deposit. Please visit the "Travel" tab of this site for more room booking information.

Why should I use the travel agent?
Answer
We have reserved a block of rooms for our guests through "Simplicity Travel" travel agency. We are working with a wonderful travel agent named Janet Haber who has helped us lock in group rates for all of our wedding guests. Janet will help streamline the process and offer the following benefits: - Lowest/most competitive room rates - Payment plans - Transfer to and from the Cancun Airport at no additional cost Please contact Janet at 845-279-9326, or info@simplicitytravel.com.

Will there be transportation provided to and from the airport?
Answer
Yes, guests who book their travel through our travel agent (Janet Haber) will have transportation to and from the airport at no additional cost. Janet will provide all the details once you book.

Are kids invited to the wedding?
Answer
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! In addition, Secrets The Vine is an adults-only resort. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Is there a dress code in the hotel?
Answer
Several of the dining options require "casual elegance" which is defined as: Sneakers, tennis shoes or dress sandals (no flip-flops). Dress shirts with sleeves. Long pants required for men. I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Dinner at the reception will be buffet style with allergy friendly options. The resort is very accommodating for people with allergies. Just let your server know that you have an allergy and they will be happy to make recommendations or ask the chef to modify certain dishes.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
All main events are posted on the Schedule page. We are grateful to have our family and friends together in paradise and want to spend as much time as possible with you. If you arrive a day or two early, please feel free to explore Cancun or join us at any of the below times. -Thursday, 12/9/21, 1:00 - 4:00 PM: Infinity pool to the right by Manatees poolside bar. -Thursday, 12/9/21, 9:00 - 11:00 PM: Red Vine Piano Lounge (Lobby level) -Friday, 12/10/21, 1:00 - 3:00 PM: Infinity pool to the right by Manatees poolside bar.

What should I bring?
Answer
In addition to your usual belongings, a few noteworthy items to remember are: - Passport: make sure your passport is valid at least 6 months after your return date. - Sunscreen: the hotel giftshop is pricey, load up at your local CVS before the trip. - Cash: Bring a healthy stash of one dollar bills as they can go a long way in Mexico, especially with tipping service staff. The front desk at the hotel can help break larger USD bills as well.

How can we communicate while in Mexico?
Answer
Please be sure to download "WhatsApp" to your smartphone. WhatsApp is free and what we'll use to communicate with everyone throughout our stay. Also, be prepared to be working off of Wi-Fi while on the resort and be patient as it can be fickle. We encourage you to contact your smartphone provider prior to traveling and add a travel plan, as normal texting and phone calls can be very expensive.
