Check-out time is at 11 a.m. Check-in is at 4 p.m. Keep all doors and windows closed at all times. Flies and critters will make themselves at home if you leave things wide open. Visits from pest control during or directly following your stay will be charged to the guest. No candle usage. No smoking inside the property. No furniture is to be moved. Failure to follow this rule results in a $100 moving fee. We expect guests to treat our furniture and items as well as we do. Sound travels in the middle of nowhere. We ask that the outdoor spaces not be used after 10 p.m. If you break or damage anything during your stay, please tell us. We work on a tight schedule so we need to know ASAP. Honesty is the best policy and it’s greatly appreciated. No drinks on the pool table. We have a console that is a perfect spot for drinks.
Travel Note
Trash is to be disposed of in our green dumpster, located on the public road on your way out of the property. The Township does not recycle. We have temporary holding cans for you to use. All trash must be taken to the dumpster prior to checkout. Any trash left inside the home is subject to $100/bag. No consuming alcoholic beverages while using the hot tub. Do not bring glass near or inside the hot tub. There is a drainage fee of $500, if glass is found near or in the tub. Non-breakable drinkware is provided for your use. Swimming in the river is prohibited. The house is located on the bend of the river, which becomes very turbulent during tide changes. Due to our sewer system, the SEPTIC SAFE toilet paper we provided is the ONLY thing that can be flushed. Please use the fire pit with caution. Firepit be doused with water before being left unattended. Do not operate the fire pit and fireplace while under the influence of alcohol. The fireplace inside the home is not functional and is ONLY DECORATIVE.

The fire pit must be cleared prior to your departure. If any wood or debris is left in the pit, we will be issuing an additional $100 cleaning fee. If you use the grill, clean it! Uncleaned grills will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee.

We provide the basics - cooking oil, salt, pepper, basic cooking tools, plates and glasses. Under the sink, there is dish soap, a fresh sponge, dishwasher detergent, and fire extinguisher First aid kit, fire starter bricks, lighter, paper towels, garbage bags and emergency batteries - AA & AAA - are all located in the kitchen pantry. Batteries can be found on the shelf to your right, they’re labeled “Emergency Batteries.” The stove is an induction top. If the knob is flashing and not heating, it means the pan you are using is not compatible with the cooktop. We have compatible pots and pans in the cabinet to the right of the stove. The sink has a touch faucet. Blue light = activated and has a full battery. After use, please tap the faucet until there is no light on - this will save battery life. Purple = the batteries will need to be replaced soon. Red = the batteries must be replaced. Extra batteries in the pantry and the battery pack is underneath the sink. We do have plastic drinkware to be used by the hot tub - they’re located in the cabinet above the kitchen sink. No glass by the water, please.

Use only clean, seasoned firewood. Firewood stack is located under the trees next to the carpad. Firestarter bricks and lighter are located kitchen pantry. *The fireplace inside the home is DECORATION ONLY.* Have water and/or fire extinguisher handy. The extinguisher is underneath the kitchen sink. The fire pit must be supervised at all times. Be certain that the fire is completely extinguished before leaving it unattended. The fire pit must be cleared prior to your departure. If any wood or debris is left in the pit, we will be issuing an additional $100 cleaning fee.

We have the hot tub serviced before every stay; chemicals are used to treat and maintain the hot tub. To avoid any skin reactions, please rinse off in the shower before and after being in the hot tub. We will not be held responsible for improper use. The only buttons you should be touching are "Jets" and "Lights." After each use, turn the jets off and please put the cover back on and secure the straps. Towels are in the mud room, stacked in the cubby holes. If for some reason the hot tub isn’t warm. It was most likely bumped into Sleep Mode. To activate Sleep Mode feature: A. Press the MODE button until the TOOLS screen is displayed. B. Press the (+) button to enter the TOOLS submenus. C. Press the MODE button until ECON is displayed. D. Press the (+)button to activate Sleep Mode. Moon & Stars icon will appear on the screen of the control panel, indicating this feature has been activated. To deactivate this feature, simply repeat steps A-C then press the (-) button. If it’s not in Sleep Mode and is still not warming up, check the circular filter that bobs in the water. It could be jammed. Simply press down on the filter to dislodge it.

Make yourself comfortable by adjusting the temperature to your liking. Throughout the house, there are several Nest thermostats. There is only one that controls cooling for the entire house - it is the one located in the living room next to the wooden hutch. The modular unit in the kitchen cools the kitchen. ***The thermostats located in the kitchen, bedrooms and billiard room only turn on the heat.*** Prior to checkout- depending on the season and what you’re using- please turn the heat down to 65 degrees / turn the air up to 72.

If you broke or damaged anything during your stay, please tell us. We work on a tight schedule so we need to know ASAP. Honesty is the best policy. We do a post-stay walkthrough of our properties, and the way it is left factors into the review we leave guests. Before you leave, please: Furniture wasn’t supposed to be moved BUT if for some reason it was, put any moved furniture back to its original spot. Failure to do so results in a $100 moving fee. Leave towels near the washer located in the mudroom. Start the dishwasher. Take out trash. All trash must be taken to the green dumpster near the public road leading to our private drive entrance. Any trash left inside the home is subject to $100/bag. Clear the fire pit. If any wood or debris is left in the pit, we will be issuing an additional $100 cleaning fee. Clean the grill. If the grill is not left in good working condition for the next guests, we will be charging a $100 cleaning fee. Turn the heat down to 65 degrees / Turn the air up to 72 degrees. Turn off all lights. Lock all doors, don’t forget the kitchen doors leading to the deck!
