Joey and I met on the dance floor at PBR in downtown St. Louis - a country bar, of all places, and clearly where all the best love stories begin. Little did we know that night would lead into the rest of our lives together. At that time, I was heading into my last semester of college at SIUE and Joey had just moved back to St. Louis to pursue his HVAC certification at Ranken Technical College. From the moment we met, Joey was persistent on taking me on a first date, but I made him wait about a month as I went home to Chicago for winter break. When the first date finally happened, he took me out for sushi and putt putt. We talked for hours and realized how much we connected over, our love for Jesus, sports, family, and so many other pieces of who we are. Joey was very intentional about the day he asked me to be his girlfriend. It happened to be the day the Chiefs won the Superbowl in 2024. Thankfully they won that year otherwise I don't know where our relationship would be at this point :). Despite cheering for rival sports teams, we manage to still love each other through it. Fast forward to the proposal - Joey pulled off the most incredible surprise at Villa Antonio Winery, surrounded by our closest family and friends. It was everything I dreamed of and more. We truly see our relationship as one of God's greatest answered prayers, and we cannot wait to share that joy with all of you on our wedding day.
