Got Questions? (FAQ)

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please try to RSVP before November 1st. A majority of our wedding supplies are being thrifted or sourced locally, and this will make sure we have enough time to accommodate your party. If you already RSVP'd and need to add or remove someone from your party, reach out to Maggie or Hunter and we'll take care of it!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is formal but whimsical! Since we are not having traditional wedding parties, there are no colors (besides white) to avoid. It would behoove us to see everyone in that one outfit that they never get to wear because it's too eccentric. This is the perfect excuse to wear that neon orange suit jacket or poofy dress that is, for some reason, patterned in stars AND strawberries. We are firm believers that there's no such thing as overdressed! Be warned, it is an outdoor wedding in January in Florida. Meaning it could be chilly, it could not be. We'll try to have some blankets just in case, but recommend planning accordingly.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We would prefer this event to be child-less if possible. We hope this gives you enough time to plan accordingly. You are welcome to contact Magnolia if you have any questions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes one, yes! Please just be sure to RSVP accordingly (including your guest's name) so that we can make our necessary arrangements for food, seating, etc in advance. Thank you!

Question

Can I take photos and share them online?

Answer

Please refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony. While the reception is not strictly unplugged, we would also prefer that our guests keep phone use to a minimum and enjoy socializing and spending time soaking up the evening with us. We will have disposable and instant film cameras as well as camcorders circling the event to capture photos and videos. We will be sure to share all of these memories with our guests after the wedding. That being said, please feel free to share any memories of the event *after* we have posted our own announcement online.

Question

What's the food sitch?

Answer

To make everything easy, this is a pizza wedding! We will have (good) pizza and sides/snacks as well as (eagerly anticipated) cake! If you forgot to add dietary restrictions to your RSVP, please reach out to Magnolia.

Question

Is there going to be an open bar?

Answer

Sort-of! Since this event is a glorified backyard wedding (and neither of us drink), we are happy to provide some various beer, seltzers, miscellaneous liquor and mixers, and (if we come up with any) signature cocktails (mocktails?). There will also be non-alcoholic beverages available. If you're picky or worried we won't have enough booze to keep up with you, feel free to BYOB!

Question

Can I smoke?

Answer

The Engel Bengel is a huge (and 420 friendly) property. If you choose to smoke, please do so on the opposite side of the yard to respect any guests- or brides ;) - who do not smoke or have breathing issues. It's a nice/short walk and there are goats to look at, I promise!

Question

How do I get there? Where do I park?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at 349 Woodland Drive, Melbourne FL, 32904. When you get to the stop sign at the end of Woodland Drive, you will see a dirt road. Follow this road down to the house. You may park anywhere in the front of the house or along the side of the dirt road, there should be plenty of space for everyone, but we recommend carpooling with people who have a similar social-battery to you, since there is no designated end time!

Question

I'm from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

The closest place to stay is the Courtyard Melbourne West located across the street. This is a great place to stay if you plan on drinking, since it is a 15 minute walk away from the house! If you would prefer, there are also several nice hotels near I-95, the Melbourne Airport, and along A1A (Jimmy Buffett Memorial Hwy). If you have a larger budget, people seem to love Hotel Melby as well! If you want to bunk with someone else, feel free to reach out to Magnolia and she can let you know if there is anyone else on the invite list that you may know who is willing to do the same. :)

Question

Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

You don't need to bring anything! If you want to make a contribution to our honeymoon fund, we won't say no! We will also be adding a few items on the registry tab. That being said, a gift is absolutely not expected. We just want to have a fun night with everyone we love!
