Erika enjoys quilting, gardening, and antique-hunting. Constantly in the middle of twelve different art project at once, her craft room is a little chaotic! Most recently, Erika has been attempting to master the art of yoga and is struggling to find the joy in cooking. Erika has a glamorous job in the sanitation industry... but, gets to work full-time from home! While she has chosen not to pursue a career in the Veterinary field, her passion for animals has never waned. She’s often found curled up with a cat or perusing her trusty bird book.
In May, Kevin took on a new position working for ServPro, where he restores properties affected by fire and water damage. His industriousness and charming smile make him the new favorite at the shop! He continues to work per diem as an ER tech at Marlboro Hospital. In his spare time, Kevin does handy-man projects for friends and neighbors. Recent jobs include house painting, a bathroom remodel, and construction of a multi-level deck. As if that wasn’t exercise enough, Kevin has also begun bicycling.
And, who could forget the pets! Ava is their darling golden retriever-shiba inu mix. She is the perfect pup, hands down. Well-behaved, playful, soft and snuggly. Ava loves playing fetch and wading in the waves at the beach. She won’t swim, though! Then, there are the three cats - Rocket, Argo and Nova Jean. A trio of hunters, they often leave “gifts” for their unsuspecting owners. The best part is that the cats love the dog and vice versa! Their interactions with one another are too cute for words.
Kevin and Erika enjoy camping and hiking, recently taking road trips to Virginia Beach and the Finger Lakes region of New York. At home, the coffee table is alway covered with jigsaw puzzle pieces. They love to relax and catch up on the latest television episodes. Some of their favorites include: “Bob’s Burgers,” “Mental Samurai,” and “Game of Thrones” (quite the eclectic collection). Kevin often surprises Erika with improvements around the house. He built her a custom stand for quilts and a raised cat-feeding station to keep away the canine thief. They dream to have their very own farm — a big yard, plenty of trees and a little flock of sheep....
