Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes! All guests traveling to Mexico for our wedding will need a valid passport. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date from Mexico. For our event travels, you will need a passport valid until at least December 2026. We recommend checking your passport expiration date as soon as possible to allow ample time for renewal if necessary.

Question

Which airport to fly into?

Answer

You'll need to fly into the Cancun International Airport (CUN). From there, the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya is approximately a 25-minute drive. Please be aware that Cancun's airport is known for sometimes having long lines at customs and immigration, so we recommend being prepared for a potential wait upon arrival.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is Resort Formal. Think elegant, comfortable, and celebratory attire appropriate for the season and our location. Feel free to wear bright, tropical colors to lean into the venue and climate! For Men: A lightweight suit, slacks with a button-down (long sleeve or short sleeve), or a sport coat. Ties are optional. Please, no shorts, t-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, or sandals. For Women: A cocktail-length dress, a maxi dress, a formal jumpsuit, or dressy separates.

Question

What is an All-Inclusive Resort?

Answer

An all-inclusive resort means that the upfront cost of your stay covers a wide range of amenities. Your room cost includes your room, all meals and drinks, and various activities and entertainment offered by the resort. This allows you to enjoy a hassle-free experience where many of your needs are taken care of without constant extra charges. It's designed for relaxation and convenience, letting you focus on celebrating with us!

Question

What should I pack for the trip?

Answer

Aside from your favorite swimwear and sunscreens, we recommend packing: Essentials: Passport, high-SPF reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, a sun hat, and bug spray for the evenings. The Wedding: Please bring a Resort Formal outfit for our big day! Dinner Attire: The resort restaurants have specific dress codes (see below), so please ensure you have long pants and closed-toe shoes for indoor dining.

Question

What is the dress code for dinner at the resort?

Answer

The Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya enforces a "Casual Elegance" dress code for most dinner restaurants. For Men: Long pants, collared shirts (polo or button-down), and closed-toe shoes are required. For Women: Dresses, skirts, long pants, or capris paired with dressy sandals or shoes. While the days are casual, the resort feels very upscale at night, so feel free to dress to impress!

Question

Can I drink the water at the resort?

Answer

Yes! The Valentin Imperial uses a high-tech water filtration system, making tap water safe to drink. If you prefer bottled water, the resort provides complimentary bottles in your room and at all bars throughout the day.

Question

How do I get to the hotel from Cancun International Airport (CUN)?

Answer

If you booked your transportation through Envoyage Travel, your transfers should be included in your original booking (unless you requested to remove this service). Send your flight itinerary to Envoyage Travel, and they will arrange your specific pick-up and drop-off times for you and send a confirmation a few weeks before the trip.

Question

Is tipping expected at an all-inclusive resort?

Answer

While tips are technically included in your stay, they are greatly appreciated by the hardworking staff for exceptional service. Etiquette: It is common to tip $1–$5 USD for drinks or small services, and $5–$10 USD for a nice dinner or daily housekeeping. Pro-Tip: Small USD bills or Mexican Pesos are both widely accepted.

Question

Can I leave the resort to explore?

Answer

Absolutely! Riviera Maya is full of adventure. We recommend booking excursions through a verified tour company. Popular options include: - Visiting the Tulum or Chichen Itza ruins. - Swimming in a Cenote (natural limestone sinkholes). - Spending a day at Xcaret or Xel-Há eco-parks.

Question

Does the resort offer activities?

Answer

You can book snorkeling, fishing, and diving trips directly through them for a fee.
