Please RSVP by March 12th, 2025.
Unfortunately, we live in a very unpredictable state when it comes to the weather. We do understand that April is a rainy month in Florida. As of now, the bride and groom expect to have a fully outdoor event. However, precautions have been taken in case of rain and we have the luxury of moving the events indoors if necessary.
There are a limited number of cabins on site with bunkbeds and no AC. If you wish to stay in a more lavish environment before the wedding, Alachua offers many hotels for travelers; just a 20 minute drive toward I-75. If you wish to stay in a cabin onsite, please let the Bride or Groom know. You will need to bring a pillow, blanket, and anything else needed to be comfortable as the camp doesn't provide linens or toiletries!
If you live out of state, High Springs, FL is an hour away from two major airports (Tallahassee and Jacksonville) and near a minor airport (Gainesville). Please make your own traveling accommodations. The Bride, Groom, or Family will not be able to pick anyone up from an airport the day of/day before as we will all be busy with decorating the site, rehearsal, etc, and we will not be able to drive anyone back to an airport the following day as we have a limited time to clean up the campgrounds.
There is no fee to enter the park. Please let the attendant at the ranger station know you are entering for the MacEwan wedding. They will give you a parking pass to put on your dashboard.
Unfortunately, the venue is NOT wheelchair accessible.
We encourage a medieval/renaissance attire. If you dress up for DnD we encourage you to bring your character to the wedding! If you don't have anything of the like, we ask that you dress in a formal attire. However, the entire event will take place outside (weather permitting) so please do not wear heels. That being said, there's no such thing as upstaging the bride. You want to dress as a princess, tiara and all? Great! You're from a foreign fantasy country and we've invited you to our wedding as political friends. You'd like to dress up as your half goblin half hobbit DnD character? Absolutely go for it! Our only request is that you don't wear t-shirts, jeans, shorts, flipflops, or heels that can dig into the dirt.
Yes, but please let us know when you RSVP so we can make the accommodations for them. If you've already RSVP'd and would like to bring a plus one, please let the Bride or Groom or their parents know.
Absolutely. There's even a small playground at the campsite!
The ceremony starts promptly at 5pm. Please arrive 30 minutes beforehand.
Yes! But please do not post them anywhere until the Bride and Groom have posted pictures on social media.
The bride's sister will be making turkey legs, roasted pork, pasta with vodka or alfredo sauce, several fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, deviled eggs, cucumber bites, quiches, and stuffed mushrooms along with southern sweet tea, lemonade, and water. Please contact the bride or groom by phone if you're concerned about your dietary restrictions.
We are having a MOSTLY dry wedding. There will be mocktails during cocktail hour and wine served for the toasts. BYOB if you must, but please clean up after yourself.
While we're excited for your next chapter, we wish to take the day to celebrate ours.
We aren't in need of any physical gifts. Instead, we request that you help us have an amazing time making memories that will last forever on our honeymoon. Please visit the Registry tab located at the top of the website and choose from any of the various activities we have planned or donate any amount that you're able to.
