WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!

His childhood friends are my college friends and somehow we had never met before over the past 2 years. Jesse was coming over to our friends apartment that night and our best friend Justin begged me to come over and meet him because he thought we would get along great. I was hesitant because it was a busy week for me at school and I still had a lot left to do. I decided to come over later that night and instantly Jesse and I hit it off. We connected the most over taking turns roasting Justin. Shortly after that Jesse started to visit Clemson more and we spent more time hanging out. Then one night while everyone else was busy doing their own thing, we sat on their couch talking while The Office played in the background and both of us knew that this connection was something special; nothing either one of us had felt before.

Bald Rock is a location that has been special to our relationship from the beginning. It was here where I accidentally told Jesse "I love you" first. It was a hilariously embarrassing mistake that could happen to anyone. Jesse said "I love everything about you" and I followed it with "I love you too!" On Saturday, March 21st, we planned to go back up to the Greenville Mountains to explore them again since the weather had been warming up. We had adventured over to a hidden break in the woods surrounding Bald Rock where there is an another amazing view not many people know about. While we hung out here for a little while, away from the crowd, Jesse brought back up the story of how I beat him in saying I love you first. He proceeded to tell me that he had originally planned to tell me later on that day but I beat him to it. He told me the sweet speech he had prepared in his head to go with the words I love you but that I never got to hear. Jesse continued to tell me the sweetest, loving things about our relationship; then he took me by both hands, dropped down to one knee, and asked "Maghen-Holley will you marry me?" So overwhelmed with joy I started to cry and said "YES!" He too, teared up with happiness as I accepted his proposal and now we start the greatest adventure of our lives yet!
