We're getting married!

We met in the hallways of Chequamegon High School. I was a sophomore and he was a freshman. We started saying hello to each other before band every morning. We eventually started talking over Facebook messenger. We had the most random conversations about anything and everything. We began hanging out during band functions over the summer of 2011, and once the school year started again we went on our first date. We began dating during homecoming week and the rest is history!

Every summer since we started dating, I joined Alex and his parents at EAA Airventure. It is tradition to take a picture together at the "Brown Arch." In 2018, my parents decided to join us for the week. We spent the morning over in the Warbirds section, and then we decided that today was the day we were going to go the Brown Arch and take our yearly photos. We get to the arch and it was just like any other year. Alex and his parents took their picture, my parents and I took ours and then it was mine and Alex's turn. The next thing I know, Alex is down on one knee asking me to marry him! It was the perfect moment. I started crying and I could barely get out a "yes." It was the perfect plan, and since our photo was already going to be taken, the proposal was caught on camera! It only made sense to us to celebrate our marriage at EAA! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
