My future husband, Tim, and I met during our Sophomore year undergraduate studies at Roger Williams University. We were introduced by my roommate, dear friend and future bridesmaid, Jenelle. Instantly, we connected ... but only as friends. It was not until Tim moved to Boston (from New Jersey) for Law School, that we moved to the next chapter of our relationship. In October of 2013, Tim asked me to his Law School Ball. Our love story starts there. Tim may have known much earlier that our relationship far exceeded just the "friendship" criteria. But for me, that was the night he "wooed" his way into my heart. The greatest love stories start with the greatest of friends.
Two days after Tim completed the Bar Exam, he suggested we go on an overnight in Newport, Rhode Island. The study period and exam was a strenuous time for Tim, and me as his supporter. We decided a night away, in one of our favorite places, would be perfect. A time for us to reconnect, relax and laugh. Every time we go to Newport, we make a stop in Bristol, Rhode Island (the home of Roger Williams University). It was a beautiful, 65 degree day in February and we stopped at Colt State Park, which was filled with tourists. Tim suggested we go to a quieter, more secluded area to take in the scenery. We found the perfect spot and he suggested I sit down while he went and retrieved his jacket from the car. Little did I know, he went back for a dozen red roses and "the ring." One by one he handed me a rose. With each rose, he declared the reasons he loved me. After the 12th rose, he got down on one knee and proposed. I was crying with Joy and excitement. My smile went from ear to ear. It was perfect and of course I said, "YES!"
