In typical millennial fashion, they met through Bumble. For those not familiar with the popular dating app, the woman has to message first, and the man has 24 hours to respond to generate "a match". As a woman who has always gone after what she wants, this app was right up Maggie's alley. While Ren's profile picture was handsome, it did prominently feature his love for Star Wars, which at the time Maggie had never seen. In her initial outreach, Maggie nervously confided in Ren that she had very limited experience with Star Wars, however Ren, being the smart man he is, noticed how much Maggie loved Taylor Swift and immediately pivoted the conversation to more bejeweled waters. After swapping long messages back and forth for a week, they two finally agreed to meet for a beer at a local brewery, Fieldwork Brewing, on a Sunday evening in mid November. The two connected over their love of golf and all things sports, Harry Potter, and of course being Swifties! And as they say, the rest is history!
