March 13th, 2027

Our story started with a swipe on Hinge! Reid quickly asked for my number, which led to a week of texting each other while I was away at the beach. As soon as I was back, he asked me out, and we had our first date on March 19th, 2024, at La Paz. Reid was a total gentleman, and the sparks flew immediately. In fact, we couldn't wait to see each other again—our second date was a golf outing that weekend, and our third was a fun night at Taco Mama. We closed the place down! It didn't take long for us to realize we’d found our forever. I knew early on that he was my person!

On March 19th, 2026—exactly two years to the day after our very first date—Reid completely surprised me with the easiest "Yes!" of my life. We had just driven back to Birmingham from a trip visiting my family in Florida, bringing my mom and Nan back with us. Since we traveled all day Wednesday, the plan for Thursday was supposed to be a totally low-key, relaxing day at home. To keep me completely off the trail, Reid went fishing for the day, so I had zero idea that anything was coming my way. Little did I know, the real game plan was just to keep me out of the house after 3pm. My brother had secretly flown in from Boston the night before and went fishing that entire day with Reid, and the rest of my family was secretly driving up from Florida right behind us. While my mom, Nan, and I went out to grab a drink at a wine bar, a whole crew was busy transforming our house. Reid even had our neighbor, Hannah, pretend to "borrow wine glasses" just so she could sneak in and unplug our WiFi to cut off our Ring cameras. Reid thought of everything! When I finally walked through the front door, I found a trail of rose petals leading to the backyard, where Reid was waiting with candles, a beautiful sign, and both of our families gathered together. I was in total tears and completely surprised. Everything was absolutely perfect, especially the surprise celebration with all of our closest friends the very next night. We can't wait to add the next chapter to our story with all of you in March 2027!
