Question

I got my save the date, now what?

Answer

If you think you are coming, please RSVP and book your accommodations ASAP! Our wedding is the same weekend as a fall festival, so we recommend reserving your spot as soon as you know you’ll be coming. Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay until you arrive in October!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code is cocktail. Think elegant but comfy ... and light layers to keep cozy as the temperatures dip. Please, no jeans! Opt for pretty flats or block heels (the ground might be soft or uneven), and don’t forget a chic jacket or shawl for those crisp October evenings. The bridesmaids will be wearing sage green so try not to match!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1, 2026.

Question

How soon do I need to book acommodations?

Answer

Whatever accommodations you choose, we recommend reserving your spot sooner rather than later. Our wedding will be on the same weekend as the Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival. Hotels and rentals could fill up, so don't wait to snag your spot!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If your invite says "+1," then yes! If not, we love you solo.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes! If your little ones are listed on your invite, they’re on the guest list. If not and you’re unsure, just reach out to the bride at petersandmaggie@gmail.com

Question

Is the Wedding outside?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will take place outdoors in a beautiful wooded area, and the reception will be held in a covered porch. Since the wedding is in October, the weather could be crisp. But remember, we’re talking North Carolina crisp … not New Jersey crisp. We recommend dressing in light layers.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There’s plenty of parking on-site, and a friendly attendant will be there to show you where to go. No parallel parking required!

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the venue?

Answer

Nope! You’re in charge of getting yourself there, but we promise it’s worth the trip.

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 3 PM, so we recommend arriving at 2:30 PM to find parking and your seat. Show up fashionably early, not fashionably late ... or risk the walk of shame to your seat.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve rounded up the best spots nearby! Check out the "Travel" tab for all the details.

Question

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

It’s outdoors, so fingers crossed for sunshine. Bring a layer, just in case Mother Nature has opinions.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes, and plenty of it. Come for the love, stay for the pizza and booze.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Oh yes. Bring your best moves. Or your worst. We accept all levels of rhythm.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yep, no need to GPS-hop. One spot, one party, all night.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We'd love your attention, not your phone screen. Please unplug during the "I do's". You can go full paparazzi at the reception!

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

When the speaker dies or we do, whichever comes first. (Realistically, at 10 PM.)

Question

Are you registered somewhere?

Answer

Your presence is the present. But if you're feeling generous, check the "Registry" tab.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Let us know on your RSVP. We want everyone to eat, drink, and survive the night!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be serving beer and wine. Cheers to that!

Question

I have extra time in Mount Airy, What is there to do?

Answer

Mount Airy, the real-life Mayberry, is full of charm! Explore Main Street’s shops, visit the Andy Griffith Museum, or enjoy the great outdoors at nearby Pilot Mountain State Park. There’s plenty to keep you entertained before or after the wedding!
