If you are not familiar with Seattle, the airport is approximately 30 minutes by car to the south of downtown Seattle and the neighborhood where the wedding is located (Ballard) is an additional 15 minutes north of downtown Seattle. There is a train that goes from the airport to downtown Seattle that may save you money on an Uber/Lyft/taxi! Look at the website linked here for more information.

We recommend getting a rental car if you want to get the most out of exploring Seattle and the surrounding area. The Cascade Mountains where lots of scenic hikes are located are a one hour drive east from downtown Seattle and ride share can really add up in Seattle. The best bang for your buck if you plan on exploring the area is to get a rental car. Ride shares are very accessible for quick trips around the city should you opt for that option, however. Public transit is fairly limited in Seattle to bus routes with the exception of the light rail to and from the airport.
