We met by chance when I was offering up my families old patio furniture. Only to find out we lived three doors down from each other. Andrea felt so bad for not introducing herself when we first moved here and promised to make it up with some banana bread. We spent the next 2 years bonding on that same furniture, many of nights telling stories, secrets and sharing the “occasional” margarita ;) Very quickly, Andrea became one of my best friends. I can count on Andrea for non judgmental vent sessions, sound advice and the best time! I am so lucky and honored to have you by my side on my wedding day <3….p.s. I’m still waiting on that bread.
Jason Stelzer
Best Man
Jason is Mike’s older brother. Jason and Mike have a lot of similar interests including lacrosse and computer engineering as well as watching the Chicago Blackhawks, playing video games together and partaking in the yearly fantasy football league. A fond memory that Mike has with Jason is tagging along with Jason and his friends, regardless of how Jason felt ;) It is an honor for Mike that Jason is his best man and standing beside him on such an important day.
Brianne Pearce

Brianne and I met over 20 years ago playing soccer! We became fast friends. We reconnected in Jr. High and then again in High School. We have been through A LOT together and always came out on top. No one knows me like she does. From sleepovers to Friday night football games. Parties to 5K’s. I am not sure I could have made it through High School without her by my side. Again, we reconnected as adults and picked up right where we left off, as if no time has passed. Dancing and singing in the car is one of our favorite past times, paired with shopping and people watching! I can’t say I’d ever thought I’d have a friend for 20+ years and I can’t imagine this milestone without my sister there next to me.

Stuart and Mike met when they were young and became fast friends in Middle School at Edison. Stuart and Mike would get into their fair share of trouble growing up but also enjoyed riding bikes to Danada deli and playing pool in Stu’s basement. It’s an honor to have him by mike’s side on this special day.
Kristen Chakos

I am so honored to have Kristen as one of my best friends. Kristen and I met twelve years ago and we clicked instantly! We have been though SO much together, including some of life’s toughest moments and I’m not sure i could have made it through without her. Kristen has always been there when I’ve needed her and needed a shoulder to lean on. When we were younger our favorite thing to do was…shop! We would blast Taylor Swift with the windows down and sing our hearts out. I can trust Kristen with my entire heart. Kristen was there when Mike and I first “re-met” and has always been our number one supporter. I wouldn’t trade her friendship for anything and I cannot believe I get to have her standing next to me on my big day!
Cody Slager

Cody is one of Mike’s longest friends, they met in Elementary school and used to play soccer as kids and into High School. One of Mike’s favorite memories with Cody is riding their bikes everywhere together, one of those places being 7/11 to get slushees. Cody moved to Iowa for school and then to the City where Mike would sometimes visit. Mike is very excited for Cody to be a part of his big day.
Katie Harrison

Katie and I first met 4 years ago at work and she quickly became my confidant. Katie and I were instant work friends and soon that expanded to the “real world”. Katie is one of the most trustworthy and caring people I’ve ever met. Her kind heart is one of her best qualities. Katie keeps me in check and calms my anxieties, after only 4 years sometimes I swear she knows me better than I know myself. Katie has since become one of my best friends and I am so lucky to have her stand beside me!
Rob Scott

Rob and Mike met on a chance encounter when Maggie and Mike were getting rid of some outdoor furniture. When Rob came to pick up the furniture he bonded with mike after finding out they lived 3 doors down. Rob and Mike enjoy Summer nights driveway dancing, playing Mario and bonding over board games. Mike is grateful to have Rob by his side on this big day.
Kelly Stelzer

Kelly is my soon to be Sister-in-law and Mike’s youngest sibling and only sister! I have always wanted a sister and now you could say I have one! Kelly is so fun to be around! We have had so many great memories. From rock climbing to Florida vacations, New Years eve’s, sports games and Nashville! Never a dull moment with her, so the upcoming festivities are bound to be great! I’m so happy to be joining your family and grateful to have you standing by me!
Sean Newlin

Sean is Maggie’s only sibling and older brother. Sean and Mike met 6 years ago when Sean was in town for a family party and quickly bonded over their love of travel, hiking and adventure. One of Mike’s favorite memories is bonding with Sean and the rest of the Newlin family in Portugal. Mike is so excited for another brother and is lucky Sean is it.
Lindsey Mackey

We met in Elementary school (Go Mustangs!) and shared the occasional chocolate milkshake after soccer games. Lindsey and I then went to Jr High and High School together. One of my favorite memories was going downtown Geneva for chocolate fondu and then Funway to roller-skate. I have known Lindsey the second longest of all my friends. I was there when she was pregnant-and won the name guessing game at her baby shower ;)- and have loved to watch her daughter grow into a smart young girl. Lindsey and I have both been through our fair share of hard moments in life and no matter how long we go without talking or seeing each other, our friendship never changes and we pick up right where we left off. So lucky to call you a friend!
Keith Bettcher

Keith and Mike met in Elementary school as well and have remained close through all the moves. Keith to Montana and Mike to Bloomington and back. Keith and Mike bond over camping, outdoor adventures and past experiences. Mike is lucky to have Keith here for the big day.
Jacqui Kolar

Jacqui and I met in 2015! After a very rough 5 years I was starting life over. I needed to find somewhere temporary for my beloved Gatsby to go while I grew new roots. Jacqui and her family stepped up! Thanks to Gatsby we made some really great, lifelong, friends with the Kolar family and I’ll never be able to thank them enough. What started as a bond over Gatsby grew into nights of bonding over whiskey, laughs and bonfires. Jacqui has shown me unconditional friendship and has always been there when I need her and I know she always will be! Jacqui is family now! I’m so lucky to have you with us on our special day!

Joe and Mikey grew up together starting when Mikey was 2 months old and Joe was born. Mikey has always said Joe was more like a brother than a cousin. Joe and Mikey have a lot in common, they share common interest in spike ball, lake life and the outdoors. When going through family photos it’s not uncommon to see Joe and Mikey always together! From infants to adults. Mikey is honored to have Joe experience this milestone beside him.
