Wuv...twue wuv

It all started with a scarf (ok, ok, and that curl falling over his forehead). Matt's profile pic of him standing in Hogsmeade wearing his Hufflepuff scarf caught my eye immediately. A Christian, a Hufflepuff, an unashamed nerd? Yes, please! He matched back, messaged me, and the next thing we know, we're talking and laughing every day. Maggie got me with the smile on her pic at first. That smile is still my contact photo for her. Seeing that she too was willing to put in her profile that she was a nerd who loved Sci-fi... I was sold. All the memes. All the nerdy, gut-busting memes. This guy knew how to make me laugh on my worst days. And they were bad days at the time. I ended up in the hospital for an emergency surgery, and he kept my spirits up the entire time. We both impatiently waited for clearance from my doctor and met in person for the first time on March 21, 2021. I definitely waited VERY impatiently. Had I known how much of an emergency that surgery was, I might have been a little more patient... Might. You know your chances are good as a couple when the place you meet at is a total bomb but you still spend 3 hours talking without realizing the time has flown by. A couple months later we made things official, and it's been a year of learning and growing and laughing together! I knew she was something special early on. I had the opportunity to ask her to be my wedding plus-one for what would end up being our third date. Her only hang-up about going was making sure I would dance with her at such an event... And lo and behold, even after seeing me dance like a flailing octopus, she still wanted another date!
