Maggie and Matt’s story began in the later years of their time at Marquette University in Milwaukee. While they had been at the same events and parties for years, it wasn’t until a mutual friend in 2019 made an introduction that started it all. The connection was almost immediate. Despite Maggie’s decline at Matt’s first few attempts, she finally agreed to a first date at Bel Air Cantina. Following tacos, margaritas, good conversation, and plenty of laughs, they both discovered they had found someone special. After graduation, they continued their love story while living in different cities, Maggie in Chicago and Matt still in Milwaukee. It was only a matter of time before they had to be in the same place. Matt moved to Chicago and they have now been living together for the last three years, enjoying the laughs, the food, and the love they share for each other. Two cities, two apartments, and years of memories together are all precursors to their engagement on the lakeside in Chicago on April 18th, 2025.
