We're getting married!

Like all good love stories, ours started on our senior spring break cruise, the Norwegian Dawn! Most nights you could find Maggie out on the dance floor while Kirkland would play 3-card poker (rumor had it he was really good and won a lot of money....). Halfway through the cruise, Maggie decided to mix things up and wanted to see what the casino was like. She recognized the cute TCU blonde boy and decided to go sit next to him to learn a thing or two about poker! While she doesn't necessarily remember everything Kirkland told her about poker, she does remember talking about their families, the musical Hamilton, and the brain! Anytime they saw each other the rest of the week they couldn't help but smile at each other, and left the boat as new cruise friends! A few weeks after the cruise was over, Maggie decided to go out with some friends to celebrate her decision to go to graduate school at the University of Oklahoma. While she was at the bar, a familiar cute blonde boy came up to her and asked to buy her a drink to celebrate her graduate school acceptance. They spent the rest of the night talking about their future schooling and the brain again (it's no wonder we both like Psychology so much)! As soon as the night was over, Kirkland immediately asked Maggie on their first official date. They went to Sushi Axiom and spent the whole lunch talking about their family, faith, and time at TCU! As soon as the date was over, they both immediately mapped out how far Kirkland's medical school in Arkansas was from Maggie's school in Oklahoma :) Kirkland wasted no time and asked her on a second date to the movies the next day! After the date, Kirkland told Maggie that even though there was only a month of school left and they would be 5 hours apart for the foreseeable future with their new schools, he wanted to make this work! Maggie couldn't have said "heck yes" faster! Long-distance flew by, and almost 4 years to the date, they got engaged back in their first "home", TCU!
