Accommodations in Provincetown

Being a tourist destination there are many places to stay in Provincetown. Here are a few suggestions that we are familiar with, but feel free to browse the many other accommodations available! September is just at the tail end of peak season so we recommend reserving a place to stay as soon as possible. If you are having trouble finding a place that fits your schedule reach out to us and we can help find something that works!

Hotel

Harbor Hotel

698 Commercial St, Provincetown, MA 02657

The Harbor Hotel is a nice option in the East End of Provincetown. It is located on the corner of Commercial Street and Snail Road. It is near the water and has an outdoor pool. It costs about $250 a night for a standard room with the 10% group discount. The discount code is active from 9/4-9/11. Although nothing is far in Provincetown, it is the farthest lodging to downtown that we have listed here (it is about 1.5 miles to downtown).

Hotel

Cape Colony Inn

280 Bradford Street, Provincetown, MA 02657
 (508) 487-1755

The Cape Colony Inn is another nice option located on Bradford Street one mile from downtown Provincetown. The Cape Colony has an outdoor pool and is not directly on the water but is very close to the beach. With some searching around ourselves, it appears to be one of the least expensive lodging options with rooms starting at $140/night

WeNeedAVacation.com

The houses on this site typically offer more flexible check in / out days and are often cheaper than some of the options on airbnb. It is a specific website for Cape Cod rentals only.

Transportation from Boston to Provincetown

There are a few options for guests to get from Boston to Provincetown including a plethora of car rental options at Logan Airport. However, there is also the option to fly directly to P-town, take the fast ferry, or take a bus. Just about everything in Provincetown is in a two mile radius, so if you don't feel that you need a car during your stay, taking the Fast Ferry is recommended. See below for more details.

Travel Note

Fast Ferry from Boston to Provincetown

A great option to get from Boston to Provincetown is the fast ferry! There are two companies that operate an hour and a half long trip directly to Provincetown. Boston Harbor Cruises and Bay State Cruises cost $108 and $92 respectively. The Massport Route 66 Shuttle Bus provides free shuttle service to the Logan Dock and all airport terminals. From the Logan Dock you can take the Harbor Express Boat Shuttle to Long Wharf where the Fast Ferry will depart. Make sure to book your ferry tickets when you book your plane tickets, because the ferries have a set schedule and limited availability.

Travel Note

Bike Rentals

If you're ferrying to Provincetown and won't have a rental car, biking is a great way to get around Provincetown. The website linked is a bike shop in P-town that will rent you a bike for the week for $114

Flight

Cape Air

Believe it or not, Provincetown has its own little airport in the dunes! For those who want a quick, no-hassle option to get from Boston to Provincetown, Cape Air has flights for around $200 each way.

Rental Car

Enterprise Rent-A-Car

176 Race Point Road, Provincetown, MA 02657
 (508) 487-0009

If you wish to drive from Boston to Provincetown it will take approximately 2 hours without traffic. A rental car is convenient for most people especially those traveling with kids but once you are in Provincetown a car is not necessary to get around town or to get to the wedding venue. Therefore, if you wanted to take a bus, fly, or take the fast ferry from Boston to Provincetown it may be a quicker and cheaper option. There is an Enterprise car rental office at the Provincetown Airport and another one 30 minutes away in Orleans but they are quite small so make sure you call ahead if you are planning on renting locally.

Travel Note

Peter Pan Bus

The bus is the cheapest option to get from Boston to Provincetown. Peter Pan operates a route that costs around $25 one way and takes an average of 4 hours.
