Mercier Orchards
Mercier Orchards, the largest apple orchard in the southeast, is known as Southern Living Magazine's "favorite roadside apple market," but it is much, much more. For 80 years, the Mercier family has been welcoming visitors to taste the fruits of the mountains, and the yummy fried pies and fritters that come from the fruit!
Hiking
Discover more than 300 miles of hiking trails, including the start of the Appalachian Trail and three local waterfalls. The famous Appalachian Trail begins here, the Benton MacKaye winds throughout the county and the Aska Trails Area is great for novices and experts alike.
Trout Fishing
There are 100 miles of trout streams in Fannin County.Georgia's Blue Ridge is the Trout Fishing Capital of Georgia! According to Georgia Outdoor News, the Toccoa River is one of the region's rivers that hold the characteristics required for anglers to find big trout. Serious trout fishermen know that there is serious trout fishing in Fannin County not only in the Toccoa, but in Rock Creek, Cooper Creek and Noontootla Creek.
Noontootla Creek Farms
Noontootla Creek Farms has an amazing sporting clays course that winds its way up to the top of the ridge where the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest is visible from every angle. Golf carts are used for transportation to all of the 14 stations. One hundred shots completes the course, or you can shoot as many as you please. Guns can be rented and instruction is available to those wanting to try this addicting sport.
