Hunter and Maggie first met on Halloween in 2021. Hunter was invited down to Chattanooga to come celebrate with some mutual friends, Maggie's roommates at the time. Maggie was bar tending at Tremont Tavern and dressed up as an old man, equipped with a fake mustache to top off the look. When Hunter first came in, Maggie saw him, thought he was cute, and told him that the mustache was fake in hopes it would improve her chances. He told her, "That's a shame," and they proceeded to spend the whole night bar hopping and only talking to each other. They exchanged numbers and kept talking for a month or two after their first meeting, but when Hunter realized Maggie was planning to move to Florida for grad school, and he was getting more work in Nashville and establishing his career, he decided it was better they remain friends. Fast forward to 2024, Maggie posted a photo on her Instagram story, and Hunter, realizing he had messed up years prior, messaged her. After that, they began messaging again nonstop. When Maggie had a break during her schooling and was back in Chattanooga, Hunter drove 2 hours down to take her on their official first date to Attack of the Tatsu in downtown Chattanooga. Through the difficulty of Maggie finishing up her schooling in Florida, Hunter working extra hours and touring, to having Maggie's first placement for her doctorate program being in Pennsylvania, the two never seemed to have any issues or falter during these hard times. They quickly fell in love and realized they were each others perfect match and the rest is history.
