Chapel Ceremony: Nelson Ghost Town 11:45AM-1:30PM (Noon start) Address: Nelson Cutoff Rd, Nelson, NV 89046 Nelson Chapel: This turn of the century western-inspired wedding chapel is rustic, unique, and authentic to Nevada. It’s about 45 minutes southeast of Las Vegas in Nelson Ghost Town (so plan accordingly), which sits in the El Dorado Canyon along the Colorado River. Once a booming gold town in the 1800’s, the town is now mostly run by El Dorado Canyon Mine Tours. The town was restored in the mid 90’s to resemble early western America with everything from vintage buildings, to retro signs, mining antiques, early automobiles, and even a crashed military airplane. Inside the chapel there will be assigned seating predetermined for family and the wedding party. Limited additional seating and standing room will be available in the back of the chapel. However the chapel is open-air and doorless just like the old west, so overflow guests standing just outside the chapel will still be able to enjoy the ceremony. Directions: From the Las Vegas Strip or I-15 to Nelson, Nevada: 1. Head south on Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip), or head south on I-15 South 2. Merge onto I-215 East toward Henderson. 3. Take Exit 1 to merge onto I-11/US-93/US-95 South toward Boulder City. 4. Continue on I-11 South for approximately 10 miles. 5. Take Exit 15B to merge onto US-95 South toward Searchlight. 6. After about 10 miles, take the exit for NV-165 East toward Nelson. 7. Turn left onto NV-165 East and continue for approximately 11 miles until you reach Nelson Ghost Town. Please note that Nelson is a historic ghost town with limited services such as gas and cell reception.
