A fortunate, but unlikely coincidence sat Maggie Potter and Connor Day side by side, under the lights of Lucas Oil stadium. Whether by random luck, or pure destiny, they have been inseparable since. It's November of 2017, and both Connor and Maggie were performing for the Dobyns Bennett Marching Band in Indianapolis. The band was guided into the bleachers to watch other bands' performances: all getting lined up one by one to be seated. Connor in one aisle, Maggie in the opposite aisle, across the seats from Connor. They were instructed into the same row, both coming in towards one another from opposite sides, meeting in the middle, and plopping down beside each other. Having lived in the same city their entire lives, gone to the same schools, and having been in band together all season long, they had never crossed paths until then. They sat together all night, laughing and flirting, each mesmerized by the other. It was a surreal feeling they felt, both having a feeling that this person was going to change their life. By the end of the night, Connor asked for her number, with direct intentions to take her out on an extravagant date to La Carretta, once they returned to Kingsport. With a date to La Carreta set, they ended up "running" into each other one day after school and made a spontaneous trip to, of course, Pal's, and that day was November 16th, 2017. On that day seven years later, they will take one another's hand in marriage and vow to spend the rest of their lives together. Beginning their journey as a senior and sophomore in high school, they have grown and changed together, now intertwined, through thick and thin, from high school, to college, to long-distance, creating an inseparable pair. It is impossible to imagine one without the other. They are who they are because of the other, they're on the paths they're on because of the other, and they continue to grow and change as one: each propelling the other further into who they truly are and who they're meant to be. Connor and Maggie have long awaited the day they could officially come together as one. Eventually realizing there is no perfect timeline, or perfect plan, or perfect place, they will head to a little chapel in Las Vegas on their seven year anniversary to get married at last; all thanks to that random stroke of luck in Lucas Oil Stadium.
