Maggie and Caden met senior year at Miami University, where Caden immediately knew Maggie was the one and Maggie… took a more thoughtful approach. They officially started dating shortly after and graduated that spring, heading to different cities and into a year of long distance filled with weekend visits, exploring Chicago and Cincinnati together, and making the most of time apart. They eventually landed in Columbus, where they built a life together — including adding their Bernese Mountain Dog, Ziggy to the mix. On June 29, 2025, during a trip to Charleston, Caden convinced Maggie to visit Magnolia Gardens. What she didn’t know was that his sister and her boyfriend were hiding nearby, ready to capture the moment Caden got down on one knee and told Maggie he’d known from the moment they met that he wanted to marry her. They’ll be ringing in 2027 with a New Year’s Eve wedding on Hilton Head Island — a place full of family memories, shared traditions, and many trips together over the years.
