Our Story!

Our paths officially crossed for the first time in November 2021 at Bozeman’s infamous Specs Sports Bar (if you know, you know). Unfortunately, Bryce wasn’t thinking straight and forgot to ask Maggie for her number as he left with his friend Joe. Luckily, both were regulars at The Ridge, a popular Bozeman gym, and had unknowingly seen each other many times before. Bryce assumed they’d run into each other again—but three weeks passed without a single encounter. Fate intervened one night at R Bar, where Maggie immediately gravitated toward Bryce, catching his attention once more. The two of them were inseparable for the rest of the night. In December 2022, Bryce was just weeks away from graduating with his degree in Education, and Maggie was back in Steamboat for a holiday break. When she returned to Bozeman, they finally spent time together—sharing pizza, catching up on the holidays, and laughing nonstop. Soon after, Bryce surprised Maggie with their first official date. He asked only for her shoe size, told her to dress warm, and gave no further details. He picked her up with ice skates in hand, drove down the Big Sky canyon, stopped for barbecue at Riverside BBQ, and then headed to the Big Sky public ice rink. For Maggie, it felt familiar—growing up with a twin brother who played hockey and years of cross-country skiing experience. Bryce, far out of his comfort zone, knew this was exactly the kind of date Maggie would love. They laughed, took their first picture together, and have been inseparable ever since. From Bryce’s first year teaching at Belgrade Middle School to Maggie graduating from MSU with her Business Marketing degree, they’ve supported each other every step of the way. Their experiences have taken them from small-town Montana trips to Vegas birthday celebrations, a memorable Christmas in Steamboat Springs where Bryce was welcomed with a 40-person holiday party and met Maggie’s closest family friends, and a Thanksgiving in Atlanta to meet Bryce’s family. Their first big international trip to Italy and Greece made it clear that life together is full of joy and discovery. Alongside these big moments, they cherish the little things—weekends cheering on MSU football with friends, hikes on their favorite trails with Honey Bun, gym dates, cozy dinners at home, or nights out. Simply enjoying each other’s company. In April 2024, Maggie and Bryce took the next step by moving into a charming house in downtown Bozeman, complete with a perfect yard for a dog. By late May, Honey Bun joined their lives—the best $100 they ever spent—bringing endless love, laughter, and adventure. Just a month and a half later, Honey Bun joined them on her first big adventure: a 12-hour road trip back to Steamboat for the Fourth of July, proving she was already part of the family and ready for all of life’s journeys with them. December 20, 2024, brought the biggest surprise of all: Bryce’s elaborate, months-long engagement plan. Returning home from her work Christmas party, Maggie walked into a house filled with hundreds of photos, balloons, rose petals, and candles. Shocked and overjoyed, she found Bryce standing with Honey Bun by their side, Christmas lights glowing, their song playing, and he asked the big question. The answer was an immediate and joyful yes. But the surprises didn’t end there—family and friends appeared moments later, tears and laughter everywhere, followed by dinner and drinks at one of their favorite restaurants with 15 of their closest friends. It was a night full of love, joy, and unforgettable memories. Now, they’re planning their next favorite night—celebrating their love with all of their favorite people—and couldn’t be more excited for the adventures ahead.
