We hope you have an amazing time in Philly! We’ve put together a list of top spots and a few of our favorites to help you make the most of your weekend.
Run up the famous staircase featured in the movie "Rocky" and check out some world-famous artwork. Tickets on Friday afternoons are often free!!
Tour the building where the United States' founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence! The Liberty Bell is displayed in the adjacent museum.
This is one of the finest collections of impressionist paintings in the world. A stunning museum for art lovers!
Reading Terminal Market is a lively, historic market in Philly packed with food stalls, fresh produce, and local treats and crafts—great for grabbing a bite, shopping, or just wandering around. Maggie loves the cookie stall at the front entrance and the tea shop in the back corner!
The Philly Cheesesteak is an iconic sandwich of the city typically featuring beef, cheese, and grilled onions. Pat's and Geno's (located across the street from each other on 9th & E Passyunk Ave) have a legendary rivalry. Bryce's favorite spot for cheesesteak is the nearby Angelo's Pizzeria. Maggie still has yet to try a fresh Philly cheesesteak.
Explore Philadelphia and enjoy some of our favorite spots in and around the city!
A beautiful state park a short drive or bus ride from the city. We love hiking and biking here! The Valley Green Inn is a quaint restaurant in the park right along one of the main trails (and also reachable by car).
We love Rittenhouse Square, a beautiful park just a short walk from our apartment. On the weekends, enjoy the musical artists who perform in the park and the Saturday morning farmer's market!
A very fun spot with bowling, shuffleboard, bocci ball, and a batting cage! They serve yummy food and local beers.
A cute park with a Philadelphia-themed putt putt course!
Maggie and Bryce live right along this trail and love going on walks or bike rides along the river.
We went here for our fourth date and it is one of our favorite spots in the city! Enjoy this delightful hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant. If you see the owner, Corey, tell him Bryce and Maggie say hi!
Our award for Best Appetizers!
Maggie loves the hand-cut stir fried noodles here!
Maggie highly recommends the soft-serve ice cream here (flavors change daily!). Just a block away from Rittenhouse Square, this is a perfect spot for a nice cold snack on a hot summer day.
One of the many things Maggie and Bryce agree on is that Milk Jawn is the best ice cream in the city! Located in the quaint Passyunk neighborhood, it is worth the hike from Center City, Philadelphia.
A South American fusion restaurant with a great happy hour and interesting dishes.
One of our favorite date night spots! We celebrated our engagement here after returning from our trip to Barcelona!
