Maggie's Story: I can't pinpoint the specific moment we actually met, but if you know Andy, you might be aware that he makes quite an impression. The first time he made that lasting imprint on me was during a night out for our bowling league, probably 11 years ago. His friend got a strike, went running back to celebrate and he lifted her above his head with the biggest smile on his face - that happiness for someone else's success really stuck with me throughout the years of gradual friendship. Over time, we started hanging out more through our mutual friends and EVERY time we did, the two of us would always end up being drawn together and spend the night just laughing in our own little world. At this time the song Fireball by Pitbull was released and that became our anthem - one of us would yell-sing the tune across the room and we'd have a little drinky drink (for the family reading this, it was obviously just water)... We were still not even considering a relationship between the two of us, but that started to transform when we had a Cards Against Humanity game night at our buddy's house and try as he might, he could not avoid picking my cards. We realized at that point that there might be more to our friendship than we thought, and I started to ask myself if I could see my life without him in my world - I knew that answer would forever be no.

Andy's Story: We gathered as friends for an evening of giving thanks. Throughout the evening amongst friends for food, games and good company we were constantly drawn together, whether it was over delicious food being served or the competitive nature of the two of us during a board game. The charm grew and the laughter was had, but it was not until a simple card game that we realized we had a different connection. During this game of cards against humanity on every turn I picked one of her cards; even when I tried picking a card that was completely opposite of what I would have picked, it was hers, eleven times in a row. From this connection, this moment, our bond grew, our love grew and our family grew. Now we make it official!
