Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Maggie Newman and Matthew Lavitola
A few of a favorite places to eat, drink, and some should not miss site seeing opportunities!

Ryman Auditorium

116 5th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219

As one of the most iconic music venues in the country, a tour of The Ryman is always a great option. Definitely keep the Mother Church on your list of options while you’re in town!

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

222 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN 37203

This city was built on country music, and the hall of fame captures its entire history all the way up until today. It’s truly incredible to see how rich the scene has always been here in Nashville. This tour is a can’t miss.

12 South

Nashville, TN

Another one of Nashville’s fun neighborhoods, 12 South is home to 5 Daughters doughnut shop and The Butter Milk Ranch for some serious breakfast eats. Don’t miss out on all the boutique shops and other bars that line the street.

Local Coffee Shops

Nashville, TN

There are two great places to go for coffee in Nashville. Barista Parlor has a location in our neighborhood, Germantown and also East Nashville. Maggie swears by the Bourbon Vanilla Latte(get it iced). Frothy Monkey has locations in 12 South and another a couple blocks north of Broadway in the downtown area. Maggie’s go-to drink is the Havana Latte.

Germantown Café

1200 5th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208

In the heart of our favorite Nashville neighborhood where we have lived is one of our favorite spots for breakfast and brunch. Come for the incredible food, stay for the bottomless mimosas/bloodies/frose. Be sure to grab a reservation to avoid the wait! BONUS: Go for a walk through Bicentennial Park where you can check out the capitol building and the local farmers market.

Little Hats Market

1120 4th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208

Looking for an authentic new york style Italian deli? Look no further than Little Hats in Germantown. Be sure to check out their extensive menu of sandwiches for a great lunch option.

Robert's Western World

416 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203

Our favorite Broadway honky tonk. We’re talking old time country western style music… think Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard. The best guitarist on the strip, Luke McQuery, plays every Wednesday through Saturday, 6pm-10pm. Cheapest beer you’ll find downtown… and don’t forget to get the Recession Special - fried bologna sandwich, chips, a moonpie, and a light beer all for $6.

Rosemary & Beauty Queen

1102 Forrest Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206

Need a change of scenery from the madness of Broadway? East Nashville is full of trendy options where the cool kids go. Rosemary & Beauty Queen is one of our personal favorites! A cocktail and dance lounge created by Jason Huber of Cherub.

The Twelve Thirty Club

550 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203

The rooftop vibe you weren’t expecting on Broadway. From the creative mind of Justin Timberlake - grab a cocktail and watch the rest of the honky tonk madness from the west end of the strip.

Doc Hollidays Saloon

112 2nd Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37201

Everyone knows Broadway, but there’s also 2nd Ave. Filled with its own strip of live music, we love the hole-in-the-wall that is Doc Hollidays Saloon. Bring a couple dollar bills with you… you might need it.

Hotel Rooftops

Nashville, TN

Here in Nashville, hotels have a unique ability of creating cocktail bars on rooftops. It’s a whole different scene outside of broadway… a couple of our favorites include LA Jackson at Thompson Hotel and The Pool Club at Virgin Hotel.
