July 20, 2019, / Cordell and I were on our way to a Caribbean Cruise. The day before we had traveled thirteen hours to Florida. The entire trip was interesting, but it was so much fun traveling with one another. On the morning of July 20th, we were getting ready to travel two hours to board the ship. I had lost my contact somewhere on the hotel floor. I was thinking to myself "Cordell may ask me to marry him on this trip and I am going to be blind!". We searched the hotel floor, finally, we ended up finding my contact. Luggage check! Once we were all settled, our luggage started arriving. Out of the group, Cordell's luggage was the only one that had not shown up! I noticed he started to panic, this led me to believe something very important was in that bag. It took about thirty minutes of us all searching for me to find it in a hallway sitting alone. After the luggage fiasco, we get ready for dinner. That night was full of excitement and cherries. July 21, 2020 / Once our fun in the sun was over for the day we had to go back to the ship and get ready for dinner. This was the elegant dinner night on the cruise ship. I knew that if Cordell was going to ask me to marry him it would have been on this night. While I was getting ready, he was asleep. I remember taking a picture of him saying "God if this is supposed to be the night let it happen please, but if not I understand...but please". We went to take our elegant pictures, and then to the dining room for dinner. As we were eating the instrumental song "Right Here Waiting" was playing. We walked up to the top deck as the sun was setting. Cordell grabbed my hand and said to me "I just want you to know I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?". I could only smile and say yes! I was completely over the moon, and in love with my best friend.
