Amy and Maggie’s first date was one to remember, and one that has yet to end. It all started on a mild afternoon in early March of 2022. Their first date started with a walk around Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City with their dogs June and Otto. Amy and Maggie both knew that if they wanted to explore a relationship after the first date, the dog’s approval was paramount. The night before the first date, Maggie worked a night shift in the ICU. Maggie almost changed plans last minute but despite being tired, she was excited for the date and decided she could show up by harnessing the power of a late afternoon coffee. Amy, thinking ahead as always, had planned a ‘bonus picnic date’, if things went well on the walk. Obviously, the vibes were immaculate. Amy and Maggie walked, talked and laughed for two laps around the park. As you can likely assume, there was a picnic afterwards. Amy and Maggie sipped wine and nibbled on some cheese and crackers while Otto barked at the squirrels and June jumped into the creek. After the dogs had wreaked chaos on the picnic, it was at this point they decided to go to dinner, sans their overly enthusiastic dogs. After dropping the dogs off at their respective homes, Amy and Maggie met for part three of their first date, at Little Saigon. As the immaculate vibes continued, they both did not want the first date to end so they went across the street to the once infamous Campfire Lounge (RIP). Amy and Maggie chatted the night away, actually, it was the morning because they closed down the bar at 2:30am on a Tuesday! After saying their long goodbyes at the end of the night, they made plans to see each other the next day, the day after that day, and everyday after the next. The first date continues in their hearts and souls, which is why they are so excited to invite you all to part 1,320 of their first date. Amy and Maggie cannot wait to celebrate with all of the people who have made their lives and love story so incredible that it is unofficially-officially considered the longest first date ever.
