It was Memorial Day weekend when Maggi was with her girlfriends celebrating graduations from college, and Hayden was visiting KC with his buddies to celebrate the holiday. Maggi had run into some "guys from the south" that were LSU fans. It was not how you think a love story would start. Maggi was standing up the Missouri Golden Girls and the new SEC tigers, while these boys were saying that LSU had the "real" Golden Girls and the "real" SEC tigers. Later on that night, Maggi saw those boys and yelled "Go Tigers!" trying to stir the pot, and that was the moment that Hayden came into Maggi's life. If you know Hayden, you know he is a die hard Auburn Tigers fan. Those two little words stopped him dead in his track. He went running down the street to Maggi and says, "Wait, you're an Auburn Tigers Fan?" and at first she was thinking, "where has this guy been all night?" but that southern accent swept her off her feet and the rest is history. After over a month of talking every day (and Maggi ditching Hayden on several occasions) the two finally met up again on July 3rd. From that night on, they spent every weekend together until she had to head back to Columbia to finish her final semester of nursing school. Not a day went by without the two talking and counting down the days until they would see each other again. After many months of long distance, countless hours of traveling across many states to see each other, and a rollercoaster of emotions, Hayden finally made the move to Kansas City and is here to stay!
