We received word shortly before the wedding that the resort was unable to open by their expected date in February due to construction delays. We exhausted our options to find another resort that was available to host our wedding. We ultimately decided that we would prefer to push our wedding back to allow for us to pick a new venue that we loved as much as we did our first location.
We request for our guests to be in semi-formal or nicer if desired. The weather should be very comfortable or even on a chilly side after the sun goes down!
Whew! We have a lot of suggestions for you when traveling to Mexico and staying in an all-inclusive resort. Below are our recommendations not only for what to bring for our wedding but also for travelling to Mexico in general! - The important stuff: Make sure to not forget your passport, ID, cash (for any taxi rides or tipping) - Plenty of swimsuits, coverups, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen for laying out by the pool or on the beach! I would also recommend bringing a lightweight bag you don't mind getting sandy to throw in all your necessities in when heading to the pool. - We suggest you bring your own cup for the beverages of your choice! We bring our own Yeti cups with the sealable lids (to keep in your drink and the pool water out) and the bartenders will fill up your cup with whatever drink you order! - Long pants, collared shirts for men and nice(r) clothes for dinner. The restaurants in the resort have a dress code for dinner service and will not let you eat in shorts, bathing suits, and/or coverups. These are okay during the day but not for the dinner service.
